Common Butterflies of the Lake Tahoe Basin



Dr. Shapiro of UC Davis is an expert in California butterflies. He will begin the evening with a walk through the North Lake Tahoe Demonstration Garden's butterfly garden at 4:45 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, on the Sierra Nevada College campus in Incline Village. The presentation will continue at 5:30 p.m. in the Tahoe Center for Environmental Sciences building. Wine and cheese will precede the lecture. At 6 p.m. Dr. Shapiro will begin his talk on which butterfly species are most common to Tahoe and how to attract butterflies to your garden.
