You have your school clothes, shoes, backpack, supplies and are ready for the first day of school — but what about your hair? What will you do to create the total look for back to school? Well here are what some of the students plan to return to school with for fall styles.
Will boys go short?
Classic short haircuts are always popular for the guys and this seems to be true for students returning to Incline schools. This haircut never seems to go out of style and is practical because it is so easy to maintain and goes from classroom to athletics. Keeping it short even allows an opportunity to have fringe or bangs. Daniel Baron said he plans to keep his own hair short this fall too. Many male students are still debating but most seem to be leaning towards shorter fall hair cuts.
“I am thinking about getting a hair cut,” said Mitch Comstock. “I think a buzz cut is perfect for going back to school.”
Hair styles that might not be so classic or traditional for boys and are definitely trendy and different include longer hair with curls, a layered cut, Mohawks or short and spiky.
Girls' hairstyles are never easy. They seem to be all over the place from the layered to classic bobs and some like it long and some like it short. So what might you expect to see this fall in Incline for girls going back to school?
“I like the relaxed style but with a slight wavy look,” Julia Severance said.
Her own hair is long even though she had it cut at the beginning of summer.
Also keeping her hair long for the back to school look will be Brittany Kurashewich. Her hair is also layered.
What do Brittany and Julia think might be a trendy style this fall for girls going back to school?
“Kind of half pulled back, half up and half down, with a cute clip or twisted,” Julia said.
“Wavy hair,” said Brittany.
And what might be outrageous?
“A big poofy style like you see on ‘Jersey Shore,'” Julia said.
For Brittany it would be a crazy cut. “Something with short bangs across the middle.”
Sounds like hair styles will be pretty normal around the village for the back-to-school look, we will have to check back to see if that changes later in the year.
