Mammograms at Incline hospital

October is Breast Health Awareness Month, a national initiative to create awareness of early detection and prevention of breast cancer. If you've never had a mammogram or haven't had one in over a year, Incline Village Community Hospital recommends calling now for an appointment.

Mammograms and monthly self-checks are still the most effective methods for detecting breast cancer early. The earlier breast cancer is found, the better the chances that treatment will work.

A mammogram is a simple, painless procedure performed by certified technologists, and follow-up care is available through local physicians.

In honor of Breast Health Awareness Month the Hospital has some special gifts for women scheduling mammograms during the month of October: a complimentary PIXI bone density heal scan or complimentary one-day pass to the new Center for Health and Sports Performance, plus a complimentary health risk assessment and, while supplies last, a Breast Cancer Awareness Month bracelet.

Physician referrals are not necessary to schedule a mammogram and most insurance plans are accepted.

To schedule an appointment, please call Tahoe Forest Hospital at (530) 582-6510.
