Thursday, Nov. 3
Deputies were informed of a customer trying to pay their bill at Rookies with a counterfeit $20 bill.
Friday, Nov. 4
A Sheriff's deputy discovered a vehicle perched on a rock near the intersection of Oriole Way and Tanager Street.
The driver had apparently been drinking and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Sheriff's deputies found a small, abandoned sail boat on Gale Street.
The boat was missing the mast, the rudder and the keel. Apparently someone was using the boat as a sled. Deputies were unable to locate the skipper.
Saturday, Nov. 5
Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a chimney fire on Peepsight Court.
The fire department quickly arrived on scene and extinguished the fire. There was no damage to the residence and the chimney has been cleared for Santa's arrival.
An Incline Village General Improvement District employee called police stating that he and his dog were trapped in a building.
He told officers that he was making dinner and that there was bear outside trying to break in.
Officers arrived on scene and found scratches on the door and a large garbage mess, but no bear.
Residents of Fairview Boulevard reported a "strange person" was banging on their front door and trying to break in shortly after midnight.
Deputies arrived on scene and found a truck with no license plates parked in the driveway and a flare burning in the street. The man outside the home told deputies he thought he knew the people inside and he had lit the flare to let his friends know where the party was.
