Northstar-at-Tahoe and Sierra-at-Tahoe invite all active duty military to grab their skis and snowboards and enjoy free skiing/riding at either resort every Sunday this winter (excluding Jan. 15 and Feb. 19).
To receive their free lift ticket, active military personnel simply need to present their CAC (Common Access Card) to the special tickets line at Northstar or Sierra's season pass office.
Military personnel will receive one complimentary lift ticket, per person, per Sunday.
Members of the military who have never tried skiing or snowboarding shouldn't miss out on the fun. Sierra and Northstar's multi-day lesson packages offer the perfect opportunity to take on a new snowsport.
At Northstar, guests will learn to carve in no time with the resort's Passport Program. For just $148, future skiers and snowboarders will receive three days of lift tickets, lessons and rentals for a fraction of the price.
Once they've completed the Passport Program, military personnel can ski or ride every Sunday and fine-tune what they've learned for free.
Similar to the Passport Program, Sierra offers the Learn to Ski/Ride Guarantee for just $43 per day.
Sierra is so confident that its nationally ranked ski/snowboard instructors can get anyone skiing and riding, the resort is offering three days of lift tickets, lessons, rentals and the promise guests will ride from top to bottom of the mountain's summit or the fourth lesson is free. After mastering the fundamentals, military personnel are invited to return every Sunday to hone their skills free-of-charge.
