Crystal Bay Casino security reported to the sheriff's substation that an intoxicated driver left the casino. Security guards said they warned the driver but she refused to heed it and hit another parked car on her way out of the casino parking garage. Sheriffs deputies were unable to find the driver but took a report on the damaged car.
Wednesday, Sept. 13
A bear broke into an unoccupied home on Colleen Court. Sheriff's deputies reported a "decent" amount of damage.
A deer was hit by a car near Mt. Rose summit. A sheriff's deputy was dispatched and "put the injured deer out of its misery."
A bear was spotted on the 900 block of Lakeshore Boulevard near the Lone Eagle Grill. Sheriff's deputies responded and arrived as the bear was leaving.
A man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription on the 100 block of Rubicon Peak. Bail was set at $1,000.
Thursday, Sept. 14
Several residents on Lakeshore Boulevard complained that a boat and trailer was illegally parked on the roadside. The owner was contacted to arrange for immediate removal. Sheriff's deputies said they would tow the boat on Friday if it was not removed.
Sheriff's deputies arrested a driver on suspicion of driving under the influence on Tahoe Boulevard. The suspect refused to take a sobriety test and he was transferred to the hospital for a blood draw.
A frightened teenager on Christina Drive called to report that someone was on the upper floors of her residence and that she was alone.
Sheriff's deputies searched the upstairs and noted "nothing unusual".
A resident of McDonald Drive reported their home was pelted by paintballs from a dark SUV driven by a juvenile.
Friday, Sept. 15
A man found a wallet and turned it in at the sheriff's substation. The owner was contacted and picked it up.
A student left his backpack unattended at the rec center and reported that someone stole his binder and calculator.
Saturday, Sept. 16
A resident reported a "big bear" ambling through the parking lot of the Big Water Grille on Ski Way. She was concerned because a wedding was going on inside and the bear was encroaching.
A sheriff's deputy stopped a vehicle for excessive speed on Tahoe Boulevard and Northwood. A DUI investigation ensued and the driver's blood alcohol level was .158, more than twice the legal limit. The woman's husband was the passenger and was taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance. He was also very drunk and could not stand on his own without being held up by deputies.
A sheriff's deputy observed a car driving down the wrong side of the road into the on-coming lane of traffic on Southwood Boulevard. A DUI investigation led to the driver's arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence.

Several juveniles were located on Allison Drive using air rifles and shooting BBs. They were advised to stop and complied with the deputies' request.
