Tuesday, July 10
It was reported that an internet fraud had occurred through the use of a personal computer at an address on the Mt. Rose Highway.
Deputies served a male subject on Tanager with a TPO which ordered him out of the home. Subject was cooperative and left without incident.
Wednesday, July 11
Deputies responded to a report of loud music at 2:50 a.m. Upon coming within two blocks of the address, deputies could hear "Moon River" being played very loudly. This was the same address that on July 9 neighbors complained about the male homeowner walking around in a thong. After several minutes of knocking and three renditions of "Moon River," the highly intoxicated homeowner answered the door. He agreed to turn off the music and went back into his residence for the night.
An employee from Washoe County Assessors Office reported that while checking a property, a subject was upset about a reference to the controversial tax base and made threats. Case taken.
Deputy Durbin followed up on information and possibly identified the female subject on the video for the Grog'n Grist burglary. Suspect identified as a 15-year-old female juvenile. Contact was made with her father who was initially cooperative and stated he would bring her for an interview the next day. Mother was recontacted and was not so cooperative. Information passed on to Detective Day.
It was reported that a white male adult was running through a neighborhood in a thong. Deputies responded and made contact with the thong offender who was identified. As deputies were talking the suspect decided to walk down the street and was found to be highly intoxicated. Suspect was subsequently arrested for intoxicated pedestrian on roadway and disturbing the peace.
Thursday, July 12
A sergeant noticed a vehicle parked on Wassou with the driver's door ajar and the dome light on. Upon closer inspection, there was a head in the door jam holding it open. Deputies arrived and found the person was HBD and had physical control of his running vehicle. Driver failed a field sobriety test and was arrested for DUI (.121/.126). He was also arrested for a misdemeanor warrant from RJC.
Victim reported he bought two gold coins for $690 each. He is out-of-town often and just noticed them missing. The only person with a key is the cleaning person who will be at that address the next day. Case taken and deputy will make contact with cleaning person.
Friday, July 13
Driver arrested for DUI on Red Cedar.
Mark Hildago was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation on Tanager. He was on probation for battery on PO and larceny. He was detained and cuffed in a patrol vehicle where he slipped out of the cuffs and fled on foot.
A subject at Sierra Nevada College as part of a camp for troubled youth made comments to other students about killing himself. Deputies made contact and found he had a plan to carry it out, but had not decided what it would be like to die. He also made comments about killing someone with an icicle because it would not leave prints. He consented to a ride to the hospital from North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District.
A customer's vehicle at the 76 station, at 790 Tahoe Blvd, had been broken into over night. Deputies responded and determined loss was speakers and a stereo.
Took a report of a stolen kayak.
Deputy observed a subject matching the description of the person who had escaped from another unit earlier in the day. As he pulled into 811 Tahoe, the subject ran and jumped a fence. Deputy stayed with two other subjects that were with him and directed units into the area. A perimeter was set and while searching the area, deputies observed the subject as he tried to sneak through some bushes and jump another fence. Units moved in and surrounded the subject and caught him while he was on top of the fence. He surrendered and was taken into custody without incident. The subject was identified as Marc Hildago, 23, who had allegedly violated parole and probation.
Deputy made a traffic stop on Village and Northwood and contacted three subjects in the vehicle. He smelled an alcoholic beverage and identified the subjects who were all under age. The driver was sober; however the two passengers were HBD. He also located two cans of Coors Light. Both cited for minor In possession.
Report of a domestic disturbance with a battery that occurred earlier in the day. Units arrived and contacted the male who reported that his wife had battered him. She left prior to deputy's arrival and there were visible injuries on male's face. Case taken.
Saturday, July 14
Man arrested for DUI and marijuana on State Route 28 and Southwood.
Person who rented a Jet Ski hit a boat head on at Incline Beach. There were minor injuries. and the Jet Ski was lodged in the hull of the boat.
Arrest made on the domestic battery that occurred July 13.
Sunday, July 15
Placer County requested mutual aid from Washoe County for a incident involving 50 plus people at the Boys and Girls Club in Kings Beach. Two Incline Units and one supervisor responded. Upon arrival, the crowd had dispersed and most had left the area. Units stood by for a short time and then cleared.
Deputy conducted a traffic stop on at State Route 28 at Ponderosa Ranch and arrested the driver on DUI. The passenger exited the vehicle and began to challenge the deputy. Deputy ordered the passenger to return to his vehicle several times. Passenger refused and began to approach, until deputy then put him at taser point (taser was not discharged). Passenger then complied and was handcuffed. Deputy proned the man on the ground until cover arrived. He was arrested for Interfering with a Peace Officer, Open Container, and O&R. The driver, who was at the front of patrol vehicle, remained cooperative.
Deputy conducted a traffic stop at State Route 28 and Winding Way. Driver had modified his fog lights and replaced them with LED fog lights that changed from blue to red and then to white when he was stopped. He had been driving with the blue lights activated. He was cited and the lights were confiscated and booked into evidence.
Marine Patrol Boat #9 located a 1046 boat off of Sand Harbor Point. Crew assisted with a tow to a safe location.
Units responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident with minor injuries at Village and State Route 28. Units started investigation and assisted at scene until Nevada Highway Patrol arrived.
Received a report that a runaway out of Reno was currently at the Recreation Center. Units responded, contacted juvenile and confirmed. Juvenile transported to McGee by constable.
Report of an infant having difficulty breathing at Sand Harbor. Marine #9 crew put boat on the beach and the child was found to be OK with a mild allergic reaction.
Call for an overdue kayak with two subjects who did not have life vests from Ski Beach. Marine #9, Placer CountySheriff's Office and the North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District initiated a water search. Washoe County Sheriff's Search and Rescue team was activated and within a short time the two missing subjects were located.
Dispatch advised of a reckless driver that was passing on double yellow and nearly caused several traffic accidents. Deputies located the vehicle and stopped the driver at Crystal Bay Cove. Deputies performed a field sobriety test and failed. He also had a marijuana pipe and a small amount of marijuana in his pocket. Driver also admitted to smoking pot earlier in the day. The reporting party stopped and completed a statement and a second reporting party stopped who was on a motorcycle and stated the driver passed on double yellow on a blind corner and almost hit a car head on.
The Coast Guard received a report from Hyatt Beach of a missing kayaker and requested our assistance with search and rescue. Marine 9 volunteers were activated and launched to assist North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District and the Coast Guard with the search. Man stated he had last seen his wife near Sand Harbor. He went in but she continued and wanted to go to the Thunderbird. Cal Trans helicopter located the female by air and Marine 9 made contact and confirmed she was OK.
Deputy observed a vehicle with fictitious plates at Village and Harold and made a traffic stop. A hypodermic device was located in the driver's pocket, and he was taken into custody. A crank pipe was also located in the vehicle.The driver had a lot of property in the vehicle and several pawn slips out of Truckee for tools. A bag of jewelry was located also that he stated he got from a friend that had passed away. He is a convicted person.
Placer County requested assistance with a large fight involving approximately 50 subjects at Steelhead in Kings Beach. Units responded and located Placer and CHIP units among a large crowd of approximately 100; however, the fight had subsided. Units provided perimeter while they conducted their investigation and the event calmed.
Monday, July 16
Two juveniles and their father came to the substation to report their mountain bikes had been stolen at Ski Beach.
Deputy conducted a traffic stop on State Route 28 in Crystal Bay. Driver was arrested on an outstanding warrant and his traffic offenses.
Deputies also located drug paraphernalia while doing the tow inventory.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on State Route 28 and Beowawie Road. The stop led to the driver's arrest for DUI and traffic offenses and the arrests of two others for drug possession charges. They had bindles of cocaine and meth amphetamine on them.
