Sierra Nevada College announced appointments for two positions newly vacated as a result of in-house promotions. Theresa DiMaggio has been selected as the new executive assistant for President Larry Large, filling a position that was vacated by former assistant Debi Noonan's promotion to director of community relations and special events. And, Wendy Wilson has been hired as the new payroll manager to fill the position that became open upon Tammie Hoedman's promotion to senior accountant.

DiMaggio comes well-equipped to her position, possessing extensive senior administrative experience in diverse environments. Most recently she worked for Northrop Grumman Corporation in San Diego where, in addition to providing lead administrative support and resources for 350 staff members, she also offered confidential support to the Joint Strike Fighter F-35 Lightning II director. In the higher education realm, she has served as senior office manager for the San Diego Community College District and as executive assistant to the vice president of business and finance at the University of the Pacific.

"We are so pleased that she has agreed to relocate here and become a part of the exciting changes that are happening here. I know that she will make a positive contribution to SNC," said President Larry Large about DiMaggio's appointment.

Prior to joining SNC as the new payroll manager, Wendy Wilson served as a certified staff chaplain for Mercy Medical Center in Redding, Calif. For 13 years she was the accounting supervisor for the Nevada Legislature, where she handled employee and legislator health insurance and retirement, as well as preparing monthly financial and bank statements and quarterly payroll reports.

She has also previously worked as the bookkeeping services manager and staff accountant at a CPA firm in Carson City.
