Spring Speaker Series begins tonight at Lake Tahoe School
Spring Speaker Series at Lake Tahoe School
The Lake Tahoe School in Incline Village wishes to promote its upcoming Spring Speaker Series which it is offering free to the public. The three part event is scheduled to kick off today at 6 p.m. when local resident and international motivational speaker Donna Hartley shares her life changing strategies to Fire Up Your Life.
On April 2, Dr. Stephanie Riley goes beyond the food pyramid and teaches how to optimize health and performance with food choices and eating habits. Dr. Riley specializes in children and women’s health and environmental medicine from her practice located at the Tahoe Center of Natural Medicine in Tahoe City.
On May 7, Jon Reider, Director of College Counseling at San Francisco University High School offers his advice as a former admissions officer at Stanford University, on to handle the challenges of college applications and admissions requirements.

Square Dance Lessons
The Sierra Stars square dance club of North Lake Tahoe has classes at 7 p.m. Wednesdays at the Incline Elementary K-2 school at 771 Southwood Blvd. The series of lessons will continue until June. The class will be taught by the popular Jim Marwin of Reno, a caller with 27 years of experience. No previous experience is necessary. Yoga for Everyone Weekly Yoga Classes are held from 3:45 to 5:15 p.m or 5:45 to 7:15 p.m Wednesdays at the Awareness Village in the Village Center. For more information call (775) 831-1919. Senior Yoga 55+ Yoga meets at 11:10 a.m. every Wednesday morning at the Recreation Center. The cost is $4 for residents that are not recreation center members and $9 for non-residents that are not members of the recreation center. All classes are free to Recreation Center members.
