Sierra Nevada College president Robert Maxson announced Wednesday that Cynthia McClelland, Executive Director, Institutional Advancement, has been named Vice President of Development & College Relations, effective immediately.
"I have great confidence in Cindy and her ability to lead the fundraising arm of the college," Maxson said. "Obviously fundraising is very important to any private college, but it is especially important to Sierra Nevada College because of the aggressive plans that we have for the future of this college. Cindy is perfectly positioned for this work- she and her family are long-time, well-established, well-respected members of the Incline Village community."
McClelland said the promotion was an honor.
"I am honored by the president's confidence in me, and I will work very hard to ensure that it is well-placed," McClelland said. "Sierra Nevada College is an outstanding college, one that I think people will want to enthusiastically support."
A graduate of Stanford University, where she was a member of the varsity tennis team, McClelland has over ten years of experience in creating, marketing, and growing nonprofit organizations in the North Lake Tahoe area.
