Incline student places seventh in Nevada State Geographic Bee

Print Comment
After placing seventh in the Nevada State Geographic Bee, Incline Middle School student James Larson said he’s ready to compete in next year’s Bee.
“I’m going to try and I really hope I do,” Larson said.
Larson competed April 5 in Las Vegas against 85 other students all across the state.
At first the 85 students were broken down into five groups for the first round of questions. Since James was the only one in his group to answer all eight questions correctly he moved onto the next round and the finals.
“It was really exciting,” he said. “I didn’t know any of the other people so I didn’t know if they would be able to do as well as I did or not.”
