The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency's Governing Board will mull over items on an unusually short agenda during its monthly meeting Wednesday.
Included is a presentation on the effects of climate change on Lake Tahoe by Geoffrey Schladow, director of the Tahoe Environmental Research Center.
Last month, the research center announced the results of a study indicating climate change could halt Lake Tahoe's deep-water mixing as early as 2019. The stoppage could have disastrous consequences for the lake's health, researchers say.
The presentation is scheduled for 1 p.m. The meeting starts at 9:30 a.m. at the TRPA offices at 128 Market St. in Stateline.
