Thursdays chat to feature Boys and Girls Club director

Isabelle Rodriguez Wilson, executive director of the Boys and Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe will be the next interviewee for the Fireside Chat series at Sierra Nevada College. The chat takes place from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Tahoe Center for Environmental Sciences, rooms 139/141.

Before coming to North Tahoe, Isabelle Rodriguez Wilson held a career in national presidential politics as well as management and administration, public affairs, public relations and media strategies and major event planning for corporations and national nonprofit organizations.

From 1993 to 1995, Wilson served the White House as senior adviser to the president of the United States. In this role she was responsible for the elaborate details associated with the domestic and international event activities, travel, protocol, and media for President Clinton and first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton. Among the numerous White House events under her supervision were the president’s participation in the 50th anniversary commemorative events of World War II at Normandy (1994), the Miami Summit of the Americas (1995), the Winter Olympics (Norway 1994) and the G7 Conferences held in Japan (1993), Italy (1994) and Nova Scotia (1995).

She has participated in four national presidential campaigns and has contributed to and moderated panel discussions on campaign structure and advance work specific to the presidential general election.
