PrintEmail North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District (NLTFPD) will be celebrating National Emergency Medical Services Week throughout the month of May. Celebrated nationally during the week of May 18-24, this special week acknowledges the outstanding services performed by first responders nationwide. This 35th annual event brings together local communities and medical personnel to publicize safety and honor those that serve on the front line, providing day to day life-saving services for those in need.
This year’s theme, “Your Life is Our Mission,” recognizes the commitment that emergency medical personnel make to the communities they serve.
“Our dedication to the mission of providing round-the-clock care for our community is something we take very seriously,” said Fire Chief Mike Brown.
The fire district hosted ambulance tours at the schools this week, and educated children about the emergency medical system.
