Lenoir DeMonte is the latest addition to the Bonanza staff.
An accomplished professional with more than three years of newspaper experience along the North Shore of Lake Tahoe is bringing her advertising expertise to the Nevada side of the basin.
Lenoir DeMonte, 47, who has worked the past three and half years with the Sierra Sun and Tahoe World publications, where she managed advertising accounts along the North Shore and Squaw Valley, recently joined the North Shore advertising team at the North Lake Tahoe Bonanza.
All three publications are part of the six-publication Sierra Nevada Media Group, and she will continue to manage accounts on the Nevada and California sides of the basin.
Im bringing my experience, knowledge and continuity of the business here, to the Bonanza, to help manage some of the larger accounts, DeMonte said.
DeMonte grew up in Alameda, Calif., and after taking some years off after high school to enjoy life, she enrolled in college at California State, East Bay (in Hayward, Calif.), where she graduated in 1996 with a bachelors degree, focusing her studies in speech communication, marketing and public relations.
From there, she worked for eight years with The Clorox Company in Oakland, Calif., where she worked with consumer promotion brand marketing. DeMonte left Clorox in mid-2004, when she moved to Tahoe Vista, and she began working with the Sierra Sun and Tahoe World in January 2005.
Her years of experience with Sierra Nevada Media Group will be a great asset to our staff, said Bonanza Publisher Terrie Lafferty Drago.
DeMonte currently resides in Tahoe Vista with her husband, Peter, and her two cats, Pusscakes and Gidget. Besides working, DeMonte, like many Tahoans, said she enjoys the outdoors.
Im an avid golfer; Ive been playing golf since I was a kid, she said. Tennis and volleyball, too. And hiking. And skiing. I like it all.
