Sponsor an actor

Print Comment
Starting this week, the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival and Incline Village, are opening their doors to a cast of nearly 50 actors locally, regionally and nationally who arrive for rehearsals in what is shaping up to be a momentous year for the Festival.

With the Festival bringing its production in-house for the first time, the event has transformed overnight to one that is rallying the community together. The spirit of this can be captured by a new initiative offered by the Festival— the “Sponsor an Actor” program. Supported through donations to the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Festival, contributors assist with costs associated with lodging for the cast and production team through the Festival season, July 10 – Aug. 17. The Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival estimates the support required to provide room and board for each cast member at $5,000.

To “Sponsor an Actor” or purchase tickets to any of this year’s plays contact Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival at 888-32-SHOWS (888-327-4697) or visit online at www.LakeTahoeShakespeare.com.

This season the Festival brings together two Shakespeare plays – the gleefully wicked “Richard III” and the impishly interfering immortals in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”
