Crime log for June 17 to 23

The following are incident reports submitted by the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Incline Village Substation for June 17 to23.

Tuesday, June 17

• Deputies received a past-tense report of a battery at one of Incline’s beaches. Witnesses say they saw a juvenile male push a juvenile female out of a car in the parking lot. After investigating, deputies found the female was actually intoxicated and the male was trying to get her outside of the vehicle because she was throwing up. Since no one reported the situation until a day later, deputies simply took a report.

• A man was stopped while driving his white Jeep Liberty with studded snow-tires in the area of Crystal Bay for driving erratically. Deputies approached the man and discovered he was intoxicated. Deputies searched his vehicle and found one gram of marijuana and arrested the man for DUI and possession of marijuana.

Wednesday, June 18

• A Washoe County roads trailer lost a tire on the 500 block of Alpine View while driving. The tire rolled away from the car and through the window of a home, though no one was injured.

• Deputies responded to a motorcycle fatality in Carson City County, which was handled by Nevada Highway Patrol.

Thursday, June 19

• As the result of a physical altercation between a husband and wife in the parking lot of a Crystal Bay area casino, which both injured the other, deputies arrested the pair. Their children were turned over to child protective services.

• A man reported his identity was stolen, deputies took a report and forwarded it to WCSO detectives.

• An Incline Village renter reported her roommate threatened her over rent. Deputies took a report.

• Deputies pulled over a woman in the area of Crystal Bay hill for failure to maintain her lane of travel at a very slow speed. Deputies made contact and found the woman to be very intoxicated as the result of prescription drug use. She was arrested for DUI and transported to the Washoe County detention facility in Reno.

Saturday, June 21

• Deputies pulled over a female for erratic driving on Reservoir Drive and found the male passenger of her car had a warrant out for his arrest. The female was arrested for DUI and the passenger was arrested on his warrant, which was out of Verdi, Nev.

• Two people were taken in for civil protective custody in the Crystal Bay-area after they were found swimming while drunk in Lake Tahoe.

The pair were intoxicated from a night at the casino and decided to take a morning swim and watch the sun rise when someone registered a complaint about their actions. Deputies transported both to the Washoe County detention facility to sober up.

Sunday, June 22

• Deputies stopped a female for driving erratically in the area of Chimney Beach. They made contact and found the woman was intoxicated. Also, deputies found a male passenger in the car who was a suspect from a fight in Carson City earlier that day, so he was arrested as well as the female.

• A drunken driver pulled out in front of a deputy from the Raley’s shopping center and nearly hit the deputy. The driver, a male, was pulled over and submitted to a breath test which showed he was more than twice the legal limit for alcohol consumption. The deputy arrested the man for DUI.

Monday, June 23

• A person reported from a cell phone there was a drunken driver heading westbound on State Highway 28 near the Ponderosa Ranch. Deputies caught up with the male driver and pulled him over to find he was intoxicated. He was arrested for DUI.
