Living Green at Tahoe kicked off Red, White and Tahoe Blue Tuesday at the Sierra Nevada College Demonstration Garden, with booths, samples and professionals willing to help attendees keep their homes and the environment green and safe.  In the background, Karen Higgins and water resource specialist John Cobourn discuss ground cover, such as the flowers in the foreground which function as an example of an erosion control blanket using herbacious vegetation.

Attendees of Tuesday's Living Green at Tahoe event at Sierra Nevada College's Demonstration Garden were encouraged to taste unlabeled samples of bottled water, well water from Carnelian Bay and Incline tap water.  When the votes were tallied most preferred Incline's water.
