Don't need TRPA's help

Why does Incline Village want a town center? Will a redevelopment center obviate this need for Tahoe Regional Planning Agency approval. If so, I would be in favor of the new redevelopment center in the town of Incline Village/Crystal Bay.

Look at what TRPA is allowing to be crammed into Crystal Bay under the guise of Boulder Bay. Twenty four hundred new residents. A bigger and better resort casino with a 465-slot parking lot sitting right on one of the three emergency evacuation routes for Incline Village and Crystal Bay residents.

If a new town center would allow TRPA to come in and redesign Incline Village just like it has redesigned Kings Beach, I would ask why a town center, anybody?

If the redevelopment center still needs TRPA approval for any change in Incline Village, I say leave Incline Village as it is.

Seems like TRPA’s planning and rules, with the Sierra Club’s help, played a big part in burning down 254 homes in South Lake Tahoe. We do not need TRPA’s help in Incline Village. Are they happy now that California is burning down with “natural” fires?
