Panel to include experience, diverse opinions
The November ballot may be months away, but tonight the North Lake Tahoe Bonanza presents an opportunity for Incline Village and Crystal Bay residents to discuss if Incline Village and Crystal Bay should become a town. The panel will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today at St. Patrick's Episcopal Church, 341 Village Blvd. All members of the community are invited to attend. It will be a town hall-style discussion, in which audience members will be able to directly ask questions to the panel.
Topics to be covered could include:
What are the advantages/disadvantages of becoming a town?
What services could the town provide?
What is the process of becoming a town?
What happens to the Incline Village General Improvement District?
What happens to the beaches?
What are the negatives to becoming a town?
At the beginning of the event people will be able to sign up to ask questions. As the meeting progresses, people can continue to sign up to ask questions.
If you're not able to attend but have a question you would like asked, contact News Editor Annie Flanzraich at aflanz@tahoebonanza.com or (775) 831-4666.
