Girls varsity soccer
The Incline High School girls varsity soccer team defeated Battle Mountain Saturday, 9-1. Assistant coach Mike Pennacchio said Kelli Cherry scored 4 goals; Lindsey Iida, 1; Erin Canino, 1; Megan Peterson, 1; Chloe Brieder, 1; and Tori O'Conner, 1.Six goals were scored in the first half. In the second half, Coach John Paganelli told the team that scoring would have to take place with either a header or an overlap play. Canino scored on an overlap, while Iida scored on a header.
Battle Mountain scored once in the 77th minute of the 80 minute game.
Boys varsity soccer
The Incline High School boys varsity soccer team defeated Battle Mountain Saturday, 6-1.
