The Incline High School Girls varsity volleyball team benefited from good teamwork in its Friday night match against Battle Mountain High School.
Senior Sarah Norris was able to put away kills in both the first and second game on sets from junior Shanna Murray.
Incline won the first game 25-10 after reeling off 15 consecutive points to break a 10-10 tie. The second game also went Inclines way, as IHS won 25-17, although the team had to fight off a rally from Battle Mountain after going up 20-9 on the Longhorns.
The varsity girls lost the third match against Battle Mountain 22-25, but came back to win the day by defeating their opponent, 25-12, in the fourth match of the day.
The JV squad struggled in what coach Chris Swick characterized as an off day, losing 24-17 and 24-12 to Battle Mountain.
The varsity volleyball team will next meet Whittell High School at home at 4 p.m.
