Hear the engines roar

Looking to see some classic wheels? Look no further than Crystal Bay this weekend. The Tahoe Biltmore and Jim Kelley’s Tahoe Nugget Casino will host the North Lake Classic Car and Motorcycle show from today to Sunday.

This weekend-long festival will feature more than 100 cars, trucks and motorcycles with car and craft vendors in the Biltmore’s parking lot.

Special Rock and Roll DJ Music will be played all weekend in the car show area with an appearance of the Boys of Summer inside the Tahoe Biltmore’s Breeze Nightclub Friday and Saturday from 9 p.m. to midnight.

The event is a fundraiser for Lake Tahoe’s Good Samaritan Safe Ride Program, which provides free taxi rides for intoxicated drivers.

The public can check out and buy tickets for the 1949 Chevy truck that will be given away 2 p.m. Sunday. Raffle tickets are $5.
