Thirty-two Incline Village and Crystal Bay residents are still owed checks by the Internal Revenue Service.
The Internal Revenue Service is looking for taxpayers across the state of Nevada who are missing more than 4,000 economic stimulus checks totaling about $2.35 million and 1,518 regular refund checks totaling $1.6 million that were returned by the U.S. Postal Service due to mailing address errors.
People across the country are missing tax refunds and stimulus checks. We want to get this money into the hands of taxpayers where it belongs, said IRS Commissioner Doug Shulman. We are committed to making the process as easy as possible for taxpayers to update their addresses and get their checks.
Raphael Tulino, media relations spokesperson for the IRS in Nevada said the average check size in $801 in Washoe County for economic stimulus and regular refund checks.
If a person is still owed a check, he or she needs only visit IRS.gov and update his or her mailing information.
Below is a list of the 32 names in Incline and Crystal Bay still owed a refund or stimulus check.
