Deputies from the Washoe County Sheriffs Office will still be on the road, keeping our town safe. Firefighters from the North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District still stand vigilant on Christmas Day, ready to respond to any emergency. Likewise, doctors and nurses are staffing the Incline Village Community Hospital, assuring Incline/Crystal Bay residents gets the medical care they needs.
Lifties will staff Diamond Peak and keep you shredding or skiing down the hill. Numerous other workers in hospitality dont get the day off, instead sacrificing their holiday for the rest of us. Heck, even Starbucks will be fully staffed on Christmas.
Also remember those who arent in the basin for the holidays.
A number of locals, and thousands of Americans, are overseas with our armed forces during the holidays. Remember those in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the families they leave here in the U.S. Their contributions to our nation are valued and appreciated, especially on holidays when they trade the comfort of home and family for the honor and duty of serving our nation.
