TRUCKEE, Calif. Starting this week, the Sierra Sun will be realigning its circulation and drops its Tuesday and Thursday editions in favor of a three-day publication cycle, to publish Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
"While we had hoped to maintain a five-day frequency to serve our readers the most up-to-date news with the print edition, the current economic state made that nearly impossible to accomplish," said Ryan Slabaugh, executive editor. "Yet, we are optimistic about this change ... we hope to please the majority of our readers we have spoken to the past months, who told us they actually preferred a less-frequent product. They wanted a thicker product with more news that published less often, something with a larger thud factor."
The Sun will publish information and news, sports and entertainment stories daily on www.sierrasun.com.
Anyone with questions should contact Slabaugh at rslabaugh@sierrasun.com, or at (530) 550-2650.
