Executive Director of the Tahoe Rim Trail Association, Mark Kimbrough spoke to a crowd of more than 150 people that turned out Saturday morning to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Daggett Summit Trails System at the Nevada State Park in Stateline, Nev. This new 13 mile section of the trail will complete the last section of the trail on paved roadway.
Immediately following the groundbreaking ceremony approximately 140 volunteers took part in the trail construction work. The volunteers were provided a free lunch as well as a reception at the end of the work day at Explore Tahoe in the Heavenly Village at Stateline, Nev.
