INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — The following are incidences taken by the Washoe County Sheriff's Office Incline Substation for the week of June 19-25.
Friday, June 19
• Deputies responded to reports of a vehicular burglary on the 500 block of Lakeshore Boulevard. The side door window of a car was smashed and several items within were stolen, with an approximate loss of $1,800. Deputies took a report• A driver called deputies after his sideview mirror was smashed by a male juvenile. The driver swerved to avoid the juveniles, who were standing in the roadway on the 300 block of Village Boulevard, when one of the juveniles punched at the driver's sideview mirror and broke it. Deputies got to the scene to arrest the male, who was booked on charges of minor in consumption of alcohol and property damage.
• Deputies responded to a Crystal Bay-area casino, where a report of assault was taken. A casino employee who had escorted out a male subject was subsequently threatened when the man, apparently displeased with his exclusion from the gaming establishment, attempted to run the employee over. He was not successful. The driver was not found but a report was filed.
Saturday, June 20
• A report of a burglary at a Laundromat on the 800 block of Tanager Street came into deputies. The report said subjects attempted to break into the change machine and were unsuccessful. Deputies arrived in time to take a report.• Deputies responded to a local recreation establishment when reports of a fight came in. No injuries were reported and by the time deputies arrived, only one of the men involved in the scuffle was left. Deputies checked the man's identification and found he had a warrant for his arrest and took him in.
• Deputies took a report at the Incline substation from a couple concerned of photos a neighbor took of them in their home. The report stated the neighbor was taking pictures of the two in their bathroom.
• A deputy found a male driver asleep at the wheel of his SUV parked alongside State Highway 431 in Incline. The deputy approached the man to find he was sick and very intoxicated. A blood draw proved the man was impaired and he was arrested for his second DUI.
• A female driver was arrested after deputies spotted her driving on a revoked registration on the Westbound lane of Lakeshore Drive. The woman's registration had been taken away after a second DUI conviction, and she was also booked on charges of driving with an unacceptably dark tint and without proof of insurance.
Sunday, June 21
• Security at a Crystal Bay-area casino was called after guards were involved in a confrontation with three men which turned physical. According to the report, security was escorting one of the men from the premises for being too intoxicated when his friend, in a similar state, punched him out of anger for being kicked out. A scuffle between the friends ensued and soon the third man started fighting with security. Deputies arrived to find the man who originally punched his friend and arrested him for assault and battery. • A woman came to the Incline substation to report her boyfriend had hit her and kept her in the couple's home against her will. While she was filling out the report, the boyfriend drove into the substation's parking lot and began screaming profanities at her and instructed her to return home. Deputies approached the man and asked him to calm down and exit the vehicle. He drove off and deputies followed the man and pulled him over. He was arrested and booked on charges of domestic battery, obstructing and resisting an officer and false imprisonment.
