The Rotary Club of Incline Village has made the following vocational service awards. The first award was given to Mike Trute of Incline Cleaners June 15 for his outstanding service to the community. Incline Cleaners has been in business in Incline Village now for 40 years. Dr. Jonathan Smith received a vocational service award Monday for his outstanding business community service.
The Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort Spa and Casino has made a couple of appointments to the team at the resort. Nate Hardesty is the new director of sales and marketing and Susan Redding will become the senior sales manager — leisure traveler. We are pleased to welcome both to our Lake Tahoe community.
Friday, June 26 was a day in honor of Bill Watson, curator and executive director of the Thunderbird Lodge. This very special day was a proclamation made by Gov. Jim Gibbons to honor Watson for his support to preserve the history of Nevada's Thunderbird Lodge.
Jeff Clouthier, certified grounds superintendent at the Golf Courses at Incline Village, Incline Village has completed the renewal process for maintaining his status as a Certified Golf Course Superintendent with the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America.
Clouthier has been at Golf Courses at Incline Village since 2001.
A 19-year GCSAA member, he initially achieved his certification in 1999. About 1,800 golf course superintendents worldwide currently hold “CGCS” status.
And did you know that you can now go to Azzara's Italian Restaurant for lunch? Yes, they serve lunch now from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
