H A Distributors presents Tahoe Comedy North at 8 p.m. Thursday, July 2, at the Crystal Bay Club Crown Room. Doors open at 7 p.m. and headliner for the night is Carl LaBove, featuring Leo Flowers, with funny-man Sean Peabody as host and a guest appearance by Aaron Wilson.

Free Barbecue in Kings Beach
Everyone is invited to attend the annual free barbecue from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Kings Beach United Methodist Church. The church is located at 8425 Dolly Varden Ave. in Kings Beach. For information call (530) 546-2290.
Fireworks at Kings Beach
The North Tahoe Business Association will hold a deck viewing party for the fireworks at the North Tahoe Event Center. The party begins at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance for adults and $12 at the door, $5 or kids 12 and under. Live music by Momentum, dancing, no-host bar and a variety of food choices available for purchase.

I CAN Run/Walk
The 25th Annual I-CAN Run/Walk kicks off at 8 a.m. at Sierra Nevada College. This fun family tradition offers a 5K and 10K Run, a 5K Walk and a Kid's 1K Run on a combination of flat forest trails and safe scenic roads. Cost for the race is $30 for adults, $35 for race-day registration, and $10 for race participants through grade 12.
