SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — El Dorado County Sheriff's deputies arrested a 20-year-old man on Sunday on suspicion of raping a 21-year-old woman at a house party on South Upper Truckee Road on the Fourth of July.
The woman reported the alleged rape at about 6:30 a.m. on July 5, and, after an investigation, deputies arrested Benjamin Krueger on suspicion of rape, rape of a drugged victim and sexual battery.
The woman reported that Krueger physically forced her to have sex with him on Saturday night, said Lt. Les Lovell.
Krueger and the woman had not met before the party, Lovell said.
Alcohol is suspected as a factor in the alleged rape, Lovell said.
