Kim Schmidt celebrated another birthday over the weekend. It was celebrated in true Tahoe style too with a hike at the Carson Pass off Highway 88 with her husband Jim, daughter Jen and son David as well as a family friend. Happy Birthday Kim.
Mothers in waiting Sara Cushing and Kari Ferguson were showered with gifts Saturday during a baby shower held at Crosby's. It was attended by lots of co-workers, friends and family.
John McCall has published a wonderful trail guide for our area, “East Tahoe Trails.” McCall includes 29 of his favorite hikes and walks in Nevada's Carson Range with maps, history and lots and lots of information packed into this guide book to get you out on the trails. Thanks John.
I found the Browder Family — Brian, Maggie, Ben and Sam — at the ice cream social Saturday at the Village Center. Big brother Ben was showing off his new bicycle and how well he can ride.
The IVGID team for Relay for Life will be selling cook books during the activities Friday at Preston Field. The books include everything from barbecue recipes to amazing desserts. Stop down at Preston Friday night to purchase one to support the American Cancer Society.
