The Tahoe Chamber Music Society presents Joyce Yang, pianist, at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9, in its series of free classical concerts, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Incline Village. Ms. Yang is the silver medalist from the 2005 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. These concerts have been made possible, in part, by Raley's, the Carol Franc Buck Foundation and the Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation.

The program opens with two works by 20th century composers, “Gargoyles” by Lowell Liebermann and “Sonata No. 1” by the Australian composer Carl Vine. After intermission, Ms. Yang will perform pieces by Johannes Brahms, Robert Schumann and Franz Liszt.

Free door-to-door transportation is available by calling (775) 832-1302 by 5 p.m. on the Friday before the concert. The church is located at Mt. Rose Highway (431) and Kelly Drive in Incline Village. For information call (775) 831-2298.
