INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — Incline Village native Sean Spaulding recently completed California High Patrol cadet training. He will be assigned to duty at CHP's West Valley Area office.
Spaulding is a 2002 graduate from Incline high School. He attended Los Angeles Pierce College in Woodland Hills, Calif., and studied criminal justice. Prior to joining CHP, he worked as an administrative assistant.
Spaulding's training included vehicle patrol, accident investigation, first aid, apprehension and arrest of suspected violators; in addition, those who drive under the influence of drugs.
Training also included traffic control, report writing, stolen vehicle recovery, assisting the motoring public, issuing citations, emergency scene management and knowledge of various codes including the Vehicle Code, Penal code and Health and Safety Code.
