Incline Village residents can donate blood at the fall community blood drive from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Incline Recreation Center. Make appointments by logging onto bloodhero.com and using sponsor code “inclinerec” or call the blood drive coordinator, Cherry Barney, at (775) 832-5058.

How SNC Managed to Snare This Terrific Opportunity,” by President Robert Maxson and Vice President of Development Madylon Meiling. An optional continental breakfast will be provided for $3.

The eighth annual Texas Hold ‘Em Poker tournament benefit for the Lake Tahoe School is at 1 p.m. at the Crystal Bay Casino. More than $10,000 in prizes — enter for $500 per player with re-buys at $100 each. Non-playing guests $200. Order tickets online at laketahoeschool.org/poker or for information call (775) 831-5828. Proceeds from the event support the scholarship fund at LTS which enables 25 percent of the students at LTS to receive financial aid to attend LTS.
