INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — During the month of October, Incline Village once again proved it is a compassionate and generous community.
Local businesses and pet lovers rallied to raise nearly $1,000 for Pet Network's “Pumpkins for Pets.” Through the campaign's challenge, Incline Village decided the “Top Dog” of pet rescue was Pak Mail, which raised $450. Pak Mail once again went above and beyond to support Pet Network's rescue and rehabilitation. Pet Network wishes to send a heartfelt “Thank You” to Cece, Chris, Tuffy and all of his supporters.
While Pak Mail focused on the Pumpkins for Pets drive, Rainbow Printing and Office Supply took a different approach. Rainbow and its customers focused their efforts into the “Nickels for Nana” drive, a fund set up to help raise medical funding to sustain Nana, an abused 8-year-old Aussie mix. Rainbow raised more than $350 for Nana.
The 15 businesses that participated in Pet Network's Pumpkins for Pets are: Pak Mail, Village Pharmacy, Incline Spirits, Rainbow Printing, Incline Village General Improvement District Recreation Center, Potlatch, Sweets Handmade Candies, Art's Coffeehouse, , Dress the Part(y),Village Market, Village Square Family, Blu Boutique, Curves, Incline Outfitters and Crosby's.
Pet Network wishes to thank each and every business and person who helped make “Pumpkins for Pets” a success.
“I am always touched by the generosity people can show towards those silent victims, the abandoned pets searching for homes. We are blessed to be in such a compassionate community,” said Nikki McGinn, operations and volunteer manager at Pet Network.
