After gelling into a cohesive unit en route to winning the 2A state championship, the Highlanders can enjoy the fruits of their individual efforts now that All-League and All-State selections have been released.
The state champs cleaned up in All-League voting, as seniors Sam Witt and Michael Ceragioli were voted Co-MVPs, Josh Dykstra and Micha Corneil made the first team and Jason Hillman the second team. Incline junior Patrick Howe received honorable mention recognition, while head coach Dan Schreiber was voted Coach of the Year.
Others voted to the first team include Clarence Loftin and Davon Menefee of ROP, Michael Lake of Battle Mountain and Michael McDonald of Silver Stage.
The awards are voted on by Northern 2A league coaches.
In All-State voting, which is determined by the coaches whose teams made the state tournament, Schreiber retained his Coach of the Year status, while Witt, Ceragioli and Dykstra were voted to the first team and Corneil the second team.
Lincoln County standout Dantley Walker, who dropped more than 40 points in each of the Lynx's state tournament games, including 41 against Incline in the championship, was voted All-State MVP.
Besides Incline's three seniors on the first team, Michael Hills of Needles, Eric Rippetoe of Lincoln, Clarence Loftin of ROP and Quincy Brown of Agassi were voted to the All-State first team.
