INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — The 2010 Red, White and Tahoe Blue Festival kicks off Friday with the kids cjalk drawing contest from 10 a.m. to noon at the Potlatch, followed by the Wine and Cheese tasting at 5 p.m. at Aspen Grove and the flag lowering ceremony at 7 p.m. at the Village Green.

July 2
Wine and CheeseFrom 5 to 7 p.m. Sponsored by Tom and Gayle Kolassa and hosted by RWTB Board member April Marriner april@liliatiltdesign.com. The cost is $20 and will feature a couple of new wineries this year including Silver Oak and introducing Annika Sorenstam Wines' (www.annikavineyards.com) with cheese provided by Whole Foods of Reno. Other Wines include: Duck Pond, Kukkula, Tahoe Ridge, Napa Station, Stag's Leap, Trindnero, White Hall Lane, Elyse, Palm Bay, R. Merlo, Big Woody, ANNIKA, Crane Brothers and more; classical guitar from Micah Dunn and Jon Smart.
“Old Glory” Retirement Ceremony
About 7 p.m. at Aspen Grove. Sponsored by Boy Scouts of America, Troop 37 and the Incline Village/Crystal Bay Veterans Club. Taps will be played and the retirement Ceremony is free. NLTFPD Pancake BreakfastThe North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District hosts its annual Community Pancake Breakfast from 8-10 a.m. at the main fire station at 875 Tanager Street. Includes pancakes, sausage, coffee and juice. For information call (774) 833-8106.
Community Parade
From 10 -11:30 a.m. Sponsored by Swire Coca-Cola and Hosted by RWTB Board member Joanne Devine ( 775) 722-8922. The Theme of the parade is “In Pursuit of Happiness.” Will begin with the children's bike parade and then followed by the main parade. Includes several new entries this year along with favorites like the Wells Fargo Stagecoach. The parade will run from Grog & Grist down Tahoe Blvd. and end at the IVGID Recreation Center. The childrens parade stops at the Incline Middle School. Children can register at 8:45 a.m. at the Grog and Grist. Commentary will be provided along the route. Winners will be announced at ceremonies at Village Green.
Community Fair
From 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Village Green. Sponsored by the Optimists, Hosted by RWTB Board member's Bea Epstein, Heather Bacon, and AmeriCorps Volunteer, Katy Washington (775) 832-1326. A new event this year will feature games, crafts, booths along with all of the scheduled events. For a complete list see Page B5.
Veterans Tribute

Skydivers Display

Rubber Ducky Race

Beer Tasting and Brats

Lions Club Annual BreakfastFrom 8 a.m. - noon at Aspen Grove. New this year to the Lions Club Breakfast is a “Pick-a-Prize” Charity Raffle. Raffle tickets can be purchased both at the breakfast or on Saturday, July 3, during the Community Fair at Village Green.
Free Concert at Incline Beach
