Stop by the Sierra Nevada College campus on Saturday, Aug. 14, to learn about birds encountered in the Lake Tahoe region from Kirk Hardie, co-executive director of the newly formed Tahoe Institute for Natural Science (TINS). TINS is a nonprofit organization seeking to advance the natural history, conservation and ecosystem knowledge of the Tahoe region. There will be an optional $3 continental breakfast offered. The lecture is presented at the SNC Prim Library from 10 a.m. - noon.
