The Pet Network Humane Society has kittens and cats galore. From 1:30 p.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 31, at the Pet Network Humane Society in Incline Village hundreds of cats and kittens will be available for adoption. Admission to “Smitten with Kittens & Catapaloosa” is one box or bag of kitty litter. Donations will be accepted in lieu of litter.
“With kitten season in full swing we are in need of loving homes for both cats and kittens. For every cat or kitten we find a home, we open up another space for an animal in danger of euthanasia,” said Becky Goodman, executive director.
The event will include deeply discounted adoption fees, refreshments, and every adopter will get a free day of boarding in our “Kitty Kove.”
“The entire staff is looking forward to this Saturday. Nothing is more satisfying than watching our furry friends find their forever homes,” Annie Haugum, operations manager said.
In addition Pet Network will host a “virtual” kitty costume contest. Categories for the costume contest include: Best costume, funniest face, grumpiest face, best “bad kitty” and best dog and cat together photo. Each picture submitted should include a $5 donation. Ribbons will be awarded to winners, and a certificate will be awarded to every participant.
“Our goal is to find homes for at least 30 cats and kittens during this event. We have many adorable and playful kittens that need loving homes,” said Kyle Landwehr grants and technology manager at Pet Network.
“We know that Incline is a very dog-friendly community — we want to see a strong showing of all Incline Village's cat lovers!” said Goodman. “We hope that everyone who cares about cats will come to Pet Network on Saturday and see the amazing work our staff is doing to save cats and kittens.”
Pet Network Humane Society is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that rescues and rehabilitates animals. We receive no public funding and depend on the generous donations of our community to sustain our life-saving work.
