Artistic talent abounds in the heart of Incline Village. To showcase this talent, 15 local artists are presenting the first Incline Artists Open Studio Tour, August 6 - August 8. Local artists will open their studios to the public to view and purchase fantastic art. Watercolors, oils/acrylics, photography, pottery, printmaking, textile/fiber art, and jewelry are among the mediums available.
The tour is self-guided, and maps can be downloaded at www.inclinearts.com. A preview party will be from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 5, at Artists At Lake Tahoe gallery, located on the lower level of the Village Center next to Art's Coffee. A piece of art by each artist on tour will be on display at the gallery. Participating artists include: Karen Colbert, Joyce Major, Kris Prater, Jim Markle, Don Britton, Bob Mimiaga, JoAnn Lippert/Bill Cooper, Ann Nichols, Nick Geankopolis, Liz Paganelli, Jan Foss, Caroline Cutler, Matt Dodge & Jennifer Ornburg of Blue Pixie Studios, and Larry & Judy Romiti. The kick-off party is hosted by Incline Wine & Spirits, Austin's, BarBarBar, and other local restaurants and will feature live music. Come meet all the artists, pick up extra maps, have a glass of wine and appetizers and help kick off a great cultural event in Incline Village.
