St. Patrick's Episcopal Church is hosting an event called Yours for a Song from 5 - 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, at The Chateau. It is quite the event — an evening with great food, wine, entertainment and both a silent and live auction.
The auction items can be viewed, and even bid on, online by going to www.purplewave.com. If you are unable to attend the event, you can still participate in the auction. It features everything from wonderful pieces of jewelry to amazing selections of wine, certificates for dinners and other unique selections.
The live entertainment for the evening also promises to be very special. Marti Harris, a vocalist and band leader will perform. She has had leading roles in musical theater productions including “Chicago,” “West Side Story” and “Guys and Dolls.”
This entire evening of fun is $80 per person and tickets can be purchased at St. Patrick's Church or the Potlatch. If you need more information call the church office at 775-831-1418. The funds from the event will go to help local, national and international outreach programs. St. Patrick's has already sent $15,000 to the Hati Relief Fund, donates to Project MANA, the Children's Cabinet and other local charities.
So go ahead and find out what Yours for Song is all about.
