The North Tahoe Rams Pop Warner football teams are set to begin their 2010 seasons with a home doubleheader against the Reno Wolf Pack on Saturday.
The Junior Pee Wees kick off the action at 6 p.m., while the Junior Midgets follow with an 8 p.m. kickoff. Both games will be played at the Incline High School football stadium.
Both squads received a tuned-up last weekend at the season-opening jamboree held at Golden Eagle Regional Park in Sparks, where they scrimmaged against three teams in their Sagebrush Empire Pop Warner league.
Rick Buhler, head coach of the Junior Midgets, said the Rams fared well in their first live action.
“Both teams lived up to expectations, and we're looking forward to a productive and successful year,” he said.
