INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — Saturday Open Gym allows children 12-42 months of age, with a parent or guardian, the opportunity to explore and expand physical skills through the use of safe and sturdy equipment for crawling, climbing, balancing, jumping, and pedaling. As the children explore the equipment, they gain confidence in their physical abilities and are continually learning new skills. Saturday Open Gym takes place Jan. 14 to March 31, 10 a.m. to noon. The cost is $75 per family for the 12-week session, $15 per family/drop-in rate and is included with the purchase of a one-year membership.
TCF's Music Discovery program runs Monday afternoons, Jan. 23 to March 5, 4:30-5:30 p.m. This interactive class is led by an experienced local music instructor or musician, allowing families to expose their young children to a wide range of musical genres and instruments. Parents/caregivers attend with their child to enjoy this musical opportunity, geared toward children ages 4 and under for a six-week session. The cost is $75 per family, with a limited number of spaces remaining.
TCF is also happy to offer a developmentally relevant art class for children 12-42 months old. Art Discovery projects may include shaving cream art, kitchen utensil art, and ping pong ball art, among others. The class meets once a week and is parent led. The purpose is not an end product, but instead creative exploration. The cost for Art Discovery is $75 per family, Friday mornings, 11 a.m. to noon, March 9 through April 20.
