In the past couple of weeks, we have witnessed the mugging and financial draining of the residents of Incline Village.

This action to severely punish the locals was undertaken by local and state police supervisors to cover their gross mishandling of night-time traffic during holiday times in Incline Village. We have great spin doctors in police management that talk a good game; however, my question is “where were the captains on the busiest holiday night traffic when their traffic supervision was at its highest need?

The police response to the two fatalities was to kick the snot out of the locals (with 8-to-10 out of town officers), not educate and not make any changes to the existing roadway problems (speed and lighting).

The only winners to this heavy-handed action is the police. Fines have been collected, while the unsafe condition at night remains.
