INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — Heads up Tahoe — you just never know when a flake is going to fall, and you want to be looking as it happens so fast and you could miss our monthly allotment of two flakes a month. Seriously, let's start planning summer events as that is sure to make winter return. Beach parties are on!
Next week is Valentine's Day and the excitement is starting already this weekend. The Tahoe Biltmore and Tahoe Safe Alliance kick the weekend off Friday evening with the annual Father/ Daughter dance and party. Tickets can be purchased online at tahoesafealliance.org or call 77-298-0010 for information.
A couple of other events on Friday evening include the Community Moonlight Snowshoe Hike to snowflake lodge. Be sure to sign up for this in advance by either stopping at the Rec. Center or calling 775-932-1310. Also the Rec. Center is offering Kids Night Out on Friday evening and makes a perfect opportunity for parents with young children to attend the hike. To register for both events stop at the rec. center or call 775-832-1310.
Planning to get married on Valentine's Day? Pick up your marriage license at the Incline Village General Improvement District Office.
Another pre-Valentine's event to attend is from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12 at the Artists of Lake Tahoe Gallery across from the Christmas Tree Village Shopping area. The Open House will feature a special jewelry collection and lots of other made in Tahoe gift.
At last our Incline Bowlers are off to a tournament. They are heading down the hill to Gardnerville for the Women's City Championships and the Men's Invitational. The events are sponsored by the Carson City USBC. Go bowlers!
Also a reminder that in March, Bowl Incline will be hosting the Open Championships. This is a great opportunity to participate or watch.
The Incline Village Relay for Life is meeting again at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Non-Profit Center. If you are interested in participating, putting together a team or helping at the event please attend to learn more about the annual Incline Village Relay for Life event. The event will be held July 28-29 at Incline High School.
The annual Incline Elementary School PTA Bids for Kids Denim and Diamonds dinner and auction at The Chateau is happening again in March, but if you purchase tickets before Feb. 16, you get a discount. The event is on Sunday, March 24, and tickets are available via email from robynhugar@me.com or jareber@yahoo.com, or at the Potlatch.
