On Feb. 2, the Incline Highlander air rifle team's season came to a close. The members of this team tested their strength, concentration and control of their body down to each breath this season.
The Highlanders boasted a team of 10 members, four of whom were varsity and six on junior varsity.
The varsity team of Katiya Resney, Jessica Floam, Abigail Floam and Kenny Savelieff had a very successful season. The season consisted of 10 matches, and during these matches, the marksmen competed for a possible 300 points.
Over the course of the season, each individual's scores were averaged. Resney averaged a 235, Jessica Floam averaged 230, Savelieff averaged 210 and Abigail Floam averaged 206.
Resney and Jessica Floam both qualified for the state competition on Feb. 4, however, they were not able to attend as they were both competing in the "We The People" State Competition in Las Vegas.
